Job Title: Finance Assistant / Financieel Medewerker (16-24 hours/week)

Groningen, Netherlands

Schedule: 16-24 hours per week

QPS Netherlands B.V., based in Groningen, is part of a global organization supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with drug development research. Our work directly contributes to bringing new medicines and therapies to patients worldwide.

 

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance team.

 

What you’ll do

As a Finance Assistant, you play a key role in maintaining an accurate and well-organized financial administration. You’ll work closely with a team of four colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment and your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and coding purchase and cost invoices (PO process)

  • Processing sales invoices

  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs

  • Supporting VAT and payroll tax filings

  • Assisting with monthly reporting and year-end close

  • Performing general ledger analyses

  • Reviewing expense claims

 

You’ll also support the team with general administrative tasks such as archiving, preparing reports (including HR-related), taking meeting minutes, handling phone calls, and welcoming visitors.

Job requirements

What you bring

  • MBO-level education (or equivalent) in Finance or Administration

  • Availability for 16-24 hours per week

  • Experience in financial administration, preferably in a project-based environment

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)

  • Strong Excel (including basic formulas and lookups) and Microsoft Office skills are required

  • Good command of both Dutch and English (written and spoken)

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working

  • A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
